Shake You Down：Gregory Abbott唯一冠軍歌曲

前幾天在網路找資料時發現一件令我滿驚訝的事，就是美國靈魂樂歌手Gregory Abbott(格雷葛瑞亞伯特)居然2019年還發行了新單曲！要不是常聽的英文老歌裡有他的成名曲「Shake You Down」，我可能早就忘記這個名字。

理論上除非是大紅大紫的天王、天后或是天團，否則上個世紀八、九零年代的歌手現在幾乎都已經淡出歌壇；沒想到Gregory Abbott至今還在錄製歌曲，才會讓我這麼驚訝。

這樣說好像有點失禮，但的確是事實，因為Gregory Abbott不算是很紅，代表作也沒幾首，最知名的就屬1986年發行的首張專輯「Shake You Down」中的同名主打「Shake You Down」。

Shake You Down是Gregory Abbott生涯唯一Billboard百大單曲榜冠軍單曲，熱門黑人單曲榜同樣是冠軍，成人當代榜則是亞軍。該專輯也是他銷量最高的專輯，獲得了美國唱片業協會(RIAA)白金唱片的認證。

基於好奇，我去YouTube聽了他的最新單曲「My Heart Has Found a Home」；雖然很有韻味但旋律普通，加上曲風並非現今音樂主流，所以沒有得到太多共鳴。不過我覺得他只是在做他喜歡的事，成績銷量什麼的對他來說應該也不重要了吧。
